Jeff Campitelli recorded a staggering number of albums with Joe Satriani (the number is in dispute), and visited 47 countries during his 34 year tenure with the band. He has graced the stages of some iconic venues with some legendary artists, and on this episode (1 of 2, or 20 if we're lucky) we begin to scratch the surface of the tales from an amazing career to date.

I have seen Jeff play with Joe many times and really enjoyed his playing. I had plans to see Joe on New Years Eve in 2005 but unfortunately Joe was down with pneumonia and the show was rescheduled for the following April. I had meet and greet tix for my wife and I and two friends. Long story short, they kind of forgot about us. But Jeff made the night special. After meeting Joe and getting my JS1000 signed, Jeff came out and talked and took pictures with all of us. I had a Surfing With The Alien LP that Jeff played on and he signed it for me. We discussed the fact that I had all Joes CDs except the Additional Creations add in CD. He said he had copies at home and he would send me one. I wrote my name and address on a napkin and he took it. Was great meeting him, On July 5th, I received a package in the mail with a note on it "Sorry it took so long." It was the CD and a pick. Christmas in July. I saw him the following year on tour with Joe in Buffalo, and he did not remember me. But I will always remember Jeff. Thanx for the memory Jeff.

Hey Ric, thanks for chiming in. Jeff is a really great guy, and as much as the story you've shared is terrific, it comes as no surprise. He seems to spend every day just making sure everyone around is having a good time. Btw, I'm in California, but I've had lots of great times in Buffalo, seeing concerts there downtown on Tuesday nights in the summer and eating suicidal wings at Anchor Bar. Glad you enjoyed the show with Jeff. We'll have him on again soon. Rock on!
