By the time Gilson Lavis first came to our attention as the drummer in Squeeze, he had already toured Europe with Eric Clapton, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Dolly Parton, and many other artists. The setbacks of life have stopped his musical path several times, but he always kept plugging, and while maintaining a career as a drummer, he discovered a great gift as a portrait artist. He's enjoying a lot of work in both pursuits, and he tells us all about it.
