On 14APR04, Marines, Bill Hampton and Kelly Miller were standing next Corporal Jason Dunham when an enemy grenade fell between them. Without hesitation, Jason covered the grenade with his body trading his life to ensure theirs.
Jason was 22 years old. That moment, his valor and the Marines left to cope with the aftermath are the subject of a documentary called The Gift. David Kniess, Rick Milewski and Vincent Vargas have partnered to create this powerful movie.
