Nobel Prizes - Dr Brian Keating was a leading candidate for a Nobel Prize...he got a team together, transported a giant experiment, telescopes, computers etc down to the S. Pole...and he started trying to take pictures of the beginning of the universe...
The experiment didn't quite go as expected...and there would be no Nobel. This lead Dr. Keating to a new realization. The Nobel prizes aren't exactly what they seem. Women don't win Nobel at the same rate as men...even if they are on the same team. Before Donna Strickland won this past week (Oct 2018) it'd been 50+ years since another female won for physics. Donna of the University of Waterloo in Canada, became the first woman to win a Nobel in three years and is only the third to have won the prize for physics. Between political elements and sexual misconduct...there are quite a few shocking realizations about what goes on at Nobel HQ.
